I am a sucker for a good ambient album. But this one is something else. There is a coherent story these sounds tell and it encourages you to listen to it as a whole. Sit down and let it absorb you.
Favorite track: Long Live, Farewell..
The title is taken from Agamemnon’s Aeschylus: Pàthei Màthos is about learning through suffering. Musically speaking is a deep sound journey in the darkness sorrounded by ethereal voices, floating cellos, pulsing soundwaves, crushing and doom-ish layers: an authentic mix of experiences and feelings.
“There is a sense of vacuum-esque existence parallel to ours that really gives the album its supernatural emphasis, as even though you are there in flesh to undergo it, your soul flies far away in untold spheres.” Everything Is Noise
“A sonic adventure filled with highs and lows that will challenge your very subconscious.”
The Sleeping Shaman
“The fifth album - created entirely in his native Sardinia - Pathei Mathos confirms the post rock project S A R R A M as a rich and highly emotional masterpiece. There is a lot to discover and experience here. 9,5 / 10 Soundmagnet.eu
Grind on the Road
“This album is not just engaging, but moving. (...) it is intense, emotionally vulnerable, and beautiful, such that it pulls the listener back, to pay attention” Angry Metal Guy

Strangely lo-fi with respect to other Kauan albums, and often at complete odds with its predecessor, Kaiho (which only comprised clean vocals). To appreciate Ice Fleet, I approach it like a release from another band – an unknown and mysterious one. Alice M.
